How much travel is involved?  Each season (spring/fall) consists of 8 games.  4 of these will be home and 4 are away.  Home games are played at our soccer fields located behind the Greenville Middle/Elementary School at 1111 Ohio St, Greenville, OH 45331 or behind Greenville Trinity Wesleyan Church at 1400 East Main St Greenville, OH 45331.  Away games are typically within an hour drive.
Coaches may choose to start their practices several weeks before the season officially begins.  When weather permits, practices will be at the same location as home games.  Other locations may vary. 

When does the season run?  Fall season runs from Aug to mid Nov.  Spring season runs from late Mar to early Jun.  Coaches may choose to start their practices several weeks before the season officially begins.

What type of team is my son or daughter trying out for today?  Tryouts are for the Darke County Soccer Association’s Select teams.  These are competitive teams that practice 2-3 days per week and play other league teams competitively. 

When will we know if our child made a team?  Players will be notified within the next 1-2 weeks following the final tryout session for the season.  Decisions will be made based on available spots on teams already established and possible formation of new teams depending on the number of athletes who try out. 

How much does it cost to be on a Select team?  Tryouts are free.  When an athlete is selected, there is a team registration fee of $200-300* per year (fall and spring) with various discounts available. This covers all league fees and program costs.  It does not cover the required uniform, $165* includes all game pieces and practice jerseys, or the cost of cleats or shin guards, both of which are required equipment.

We are able to offer limited financial assistance, which can be applied for during registration.
