DCSA Parent Code of Conduct 

1. I understand my player is participating on a competitive team where playing time is at the sole discretion of the team coach(es) and likely will not be equal among players on the team.
2. I will encourage good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches, and officials at every game, practice, and youth soccer event. 
3. I will place the emotional and physical well-being of my child ahead of a personal desire to win. 
4. I will support the coaches and officials working with my child in order to encourage a positive and enjoyable experience for all. 
5. I will refrain from sideline coaching and from engaging in any disagreement or confrontation with referees, coaches, players, or spectators from any team; and I will not encourage poor sportsmanship behavior in any player (this could result in a penalty against our team).
6. I will remember that the game is for youth - not adults. I will do my very best to make youth soccer fun for my child. 
7. I will require my child to treat all players, coaches, fans, and officials with respect. 
8. I will help my child enjoy the youth soccer experience by honoring their commitment to the team(s) by being at all practices and games, and by providing timely drop off and pick up.  [Extenuating circumstances will be communicated to coaches as soon as identified].
9. I will address problems and concerns calmly, seeking solutions at a proper time and location. I will refrain from discussions and confrontations with the coach in front of children. 
10. I will remember the coaches’ main focus is to build a team of well rounded, fundamentally sound athletes in order to help my child succeed on this team as well as in future endeavors. 
11. I understand that I am encouraged to participate in the DCSA Board.  I will provide volunteer support to the best of my ability and availability.
12. I understand that any volunteer work, donations, or support of any kind will not result in special treatment of my player(s) in any way.
13. I will not carry any firearm(s), open or concealed, to the soccer fields (games, practices, tournaments, etc) or other DCSA events, in accordance with Ohio Law. 

I understand the expectations of me as a parent of a player on a DCSA soccer team. I will adhere to these standards to the absolute best of my abilities and support the coaches in enforcing the rules of conduct for my player(s).  

I understand that failure to follow this code of conduct may result in disciplinary action for my player(s) up to and including removal of my player(s) from the team without refund.
